Solar Outdoor Alarm Siren
Make your alarm system visible outside the building. The RBAD-SO1 outdoor siren is intended to deter intrusion and provides sound and strobe warning when activated. Solar charging powers its built-in battery, helping you avoid running a dedicated power cable to an outside wall where sunlight supports charging.
The outdoor siren provides a visible security presence before an alarm occurs. When the Hub activates it, sound and flashing lights provide local warning. Choose a position with suitable sunlight, a usable radio signal and access for maintenance.

Set Up Your Siren with RB Link
Use RB Link to add or re-add the outdoor siren to the Hub, adjust its volume and run signal and volume tests. Follow the outdoor quick start guide for the setup steps.

Open the Hub in RB Link and choose Add peripheral.

Switch on the siren so it appears in the App.

Assign a room and finish adding the device.
Check the Signal Before Mounting
Test the wireless signal at the intended installation position using RB Link. Check the App result and the outdoor siren’s indicators before fixing it to the wall. If the signal is poor, try another position and test again. Use screw mounting as shown in the outdoor quick start guide.

RBF Wireless Connection to the Hub
The outdoor siren uses RBF to communicate with a compatible Roombanker alarm control Hub over distances of up to 3,100 m in open space. Walls, obstructions and Hub placement affect the actual link, so test the intended installation position.
Local Warning When an Alarm Is Triggered
As part of a wireless intrusion alarm system, the siren provides local warning for configured events. When a detector reports an intrusion, the Hub activates the siren according to the system settings. Sound and flashing lights warn people nearby. The outdoor siren also supports emergency, fire and water-leak events, along with arming and disarming feedback.
Solar Power Without a Separate Supply Cable
Solar charging powers the outdoor siren without a separate supply cable at locations with suitable sunlight. The built-in 1,700 mAh lithium battery stores energy for periods without sunlight, so the siren does not need sunshine every day.
Choose a position with suitable sunlight and access for maintenance, taking nearby shade into account.
A fully charged battery provides up to 4.2 years of standby operation. Alarm frequency and duration affect wireless alarm battery life. A 12 V DC input is available when external power is needed.
Set the Volume in the App
Select 85, 95 or 105 dB in RB Link, then run a volume test at the installation location. The outdoor siren has no physical volume adjustment button.
The siren supports sound and strobe warning for the events selected in the system settings. Available events include intrusion, arming, disarming, emergency, fire and water leaks. Choose the warning settings to suit the project.
IP65 Protection for Outdoor Installation
The outdoor siren is IP65-rated and operates at temperatures from −10°C to 55°C. Choose an installation location within this range, with suitable sunlight, secure mounting and access for maintenance.
Tamper Warning if the Siren Is Removed
Removing the siren from the wall triggers tamper protection. Tamper alarms can remain active while the system is disarmed, depending on the tamper alarm settings in RB Link. When a tamper alarm is triggered, the siren gives local warning and the system sends a tamper notification to the App.

What do the outdoor siren indicators show?
During a signal-strength test, the left indicator shows a good signal, the centre a medium signal, and the right a poor signal or no connection. Run Signal Strength Test in RB Link and use the model guide to interpret the flashing pattern.
Lampshade colour options are separate from these test indications; the lampshade variants differ in colour only.
How do I set up or re-add the outdoor siren?
Use RB Link to add or re-add the siren to the Hub. Follow the outdoor quick start guide for the setup steps, screw mounting and signal and volume tests. Check signal and solar exposure at the intended position before completing the installation.
